We couldn’t help but wonder how 25 years of Sex and the City would be celebrated.
Six seasons, two films and an ongoing spin-off series requires some form of celebratory waterboarding with Cosmos, so Warner Bros Discovery and Sky have stepped up to create the snappily titled And Just Like That… It’s Been 25 Years. A Sex and the City Experience.
The six-day celebration of the hit HBO series will hit London’s Piccadilly Circus from 20-25 June in the shape of an immersive journey through Carrie’s impossibly fabulous world. And unlike anything in the show, it only costs a fiver. Boom.
You can sip a cosmo while mooching around a replica of her improbably cheap ($700 per month), New York apartment. Take a pic on the famous Brownstone steps, the setting of many a smooch. Gawp at the tutus, sequins and Manolo Blahniks in her famous, bulging wardrobe and even sit at her desk, gazing out of the window, while pondering sex, shiny things, friendship and missing testicles.
And Just Like That costume designers, Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago have also curated a mini fashion museum at the experience, showcasing some of the most iconic outfits, bags and heels. And there’s a Post-It wall for all your cold, break up needs, plus the obligatory SATC 25th anniversary merch
The ticket includes a cocktail from the Cosmo Bar, where you and your wannabe Carries, Mirandas, Charlottes and Samanthas can complete the experience by oversharing bedroom experiences over a drink.
And naturally, it launches two days before the premiere of the second, And Just Like That season, which sees the grand return of Samantha - woo.
