Blooming Magical New Series Launches at The Greenhouses, Marylebone
We celebrate the launch of the stunning new Afternoons in Bloom series at The Greenhouses, Marylebone.
Each ticketed event takes place in its breathtaking, flower-festooned greenhouses, surrounded by twinkling lights - like stepping inside a fairytale film set - and pairs an engaging workshop or masterclass with a beautifully crafted afternoon tea.
Our experience features a once in my lifetime solar eclipse, a beautiful afternoon tea and carefully paired wine tasting, delighting every sense.
Our guided tasting with independent wine importer, Graft explores the origin, aromas and art of pairing as we move through the sweet and savoury afternoon tea tiers.
We enjoy pomegranate cured salmon with rose harissa, and roast marinated beets with truffle honey on challah bread, paired with a crisp, dry Corvers Kauter Baiken Riesling.
There’s a wonderfully sticky and crunchy spiced lamb scotch egg; a wild mushroom, onion and feta sausage roll, and harissa chicken and mango savouries, which are all elevated by the Alessandro Benini Valpolicella Superiore, full bodied red.
The fruit and citrus flavours of the spiced carrot cake; the glazed lemon meringue pie and fruit scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam are beautifully matched by the perfect, fruity dessert wine.- Damien Pinon Vouvray Moelleux Les Perruches.
And my favourite dessert of the evening - a light, glazed chocolate and pistachio eclair completes the evening, with a sweet and creamy Champagne A Levasseur Gourmand Rose.
It’s a magical and intimate experience, which celebrates the power that the shared experience of food and drink has, as our table of strangers becomes friends.
