We Step Inside 40 Years of Pixar Magic at this Spectacular New Immersive Exhibition

We head to the spectacular launch of the new Mundo Pixar Experience - the world’s largest immersive exhibition celebrating 40 years of the beloved animation studio.
Launching just in time for half term, the 3,500 square meter London premiere invited us to leap through 14 meticulously detailed Pixar Universes, complete with specially crafted scents and interactive details.

We soared skywards in the Up house, opened bedroom doors, and tested the Screamometer with Sulley and Mike, clambered around the enormous cheese and vegetables with Ratatouille and floated underwater, finding Nemo and Dory.
Highlights include being shrunk to the size of Woody, in Andy’s enormous bedroom, or clambering around a super-sized Sunnyside daycare in Toy Story 3.

Our children loved chasing the Aztec marigolds on the floor in Coco’s Land of the Dead, riding the ‘Wetro’ with the Elemental characters and arriving inside Riley’s head to meet the Inside Out emotions.
We headed to a summery piazza in the Italian Riviera, to eat ice cream and ride Vespas with Luca, Alberto and Giulia, and met Lightning McQueen and his fellow Cars characters at the Dinoco station, by the theatrical Flo’s V8 Café.

We also step inside the moving scene, with Coco playing Remember Me to his beloved grandma, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of Mexican flowers, pumpkins and skulls.
As tempting as it is to race to the next universe, make sure you spend time exploring the fabulous details and surprises, like the moving ‘Our Adventure Book’ on the table inside the Up house, or cutting the balloons from its famous fireplace to land the house - we even see balloons and Kevin the bird, floating past the windows.

Children also loved hunting for the famous Pixar Ball in each scene in a real-life, movie Easter Egg hunt.
It arrives in London, following record-breaking success in Brazil, Mexico, Belgium and Spain, where it welcomed over 3.2 million visitors.

It’s an unmissable event, which brings the magic of Pixar to life with each universe, from walking towards the famous, balloon festooned Up house, to the excitement of becoming a toy inside Andy’s room.
It’s brimming with nostalgia and we can testify that adults loved it just as much as kids and that sometimes, it is essential to meet your heroes.
