We Visit Immersive Art Pop-Up Which Gives Guests the Chance to Appear on Iconic Piccadilly Lights

We head to TOGETHER, the brilliantly interactive art pop-up, which gives visitors the chance to have their portrait art beamed onto the iconic Piccadilly Lights big screen.
Created by Random International, the acclaimed artists behind Rain Room, the immersive experience spans seven interactive installations across three floors of The Venue, Piccadilly Lights.

The installations include Pixelography, where we have our family portrait taken and our children excitedly ‘paint’ it onto a screen with a digital roller. These can be purchased as a print - with 10% of profits donated to mental health charity , Take a Moment - or sent as digital image and video files.
Temporary Graffiti is one of the biggest hits with children - a digital graffiti room, complete with pens and spray cans to paint with neon light, which gradually fades. They could spend all day in here, drawing around each other, experimenting with spray designs and large-scale doodles.

Body Light is a beautiful piece, encouraging visitors to dance, move and glide to turn their body into a drawing tool, making exciting shapes.
Downstairs, a large immersive space has bean bags in the centre, filled with parents, watching their children joyfully run around to create ever-changing art on its walls, which change and grows depending on how the people move and gather.

On the way out, visitors can also enjoy Piccadilly Blur, a newly commissioned, site-specific installation where your movements change a 14-metre screen into shifting, atmospheric imagery.
It’s a fun and accessible way to bring art to life, with visitors as active - rather than passive - participants, working with the pieces to create unique art, and the children love it as much as the adults.
