New immersive experience is a dopamine-fuelled dream come true

house of dreamers review

We head to London’s hottest new immersive experience, which is pure dopamine for the soul.

The pastel-hued House of Dreamers celebrates the emotional and motivational power of dreams, with 16 interactive installations that blend colour, design, fun and tech, with the goal of reconnecting visitors of all ages with their imaginations, inner child and aspirations.

Fear not, this is not simply a succession of dazzling Insta backdrops - although your camera reel will be gasping for a Rennie by the end of the session.

Each installation is brimming with activities and banging singalong anthems, tailored to guests through the wrist bands we press onto activation points throughout the experience.

The experience begins by boarding the lilac Dream Train, as fairytale London scenes, rainbows and butterflies hurtle past us, and we chat to the friendly train driver.

We leave the train to discover a series of ringing pastel phone boxes, which our children excitedly answer to discuss their dreams.

Next, is Never Give Up - a forest of pink punch bags emblazoned with emotions like “sadness” or “fear”, which our children feverishly attack to the throngs of Holding Out for a Hero.

Behind a curtain, the children are thrilled to discover the UV Catch Your Dreams room, brimming with luminous balls, hoops and games to play.

The big highlight of the experience is undoubtedly Enjoy Today, a gargantuan, pink ball pit, with slides, mirrored ceilings and selfie buttons, which my children could have leapt about in all day.

Another breathtaking space is Wonder, which is the closest you’ll get to stepping inside Wonka’s Wonderland. It’s a vibrant, tropical space festooned with enormous flowers, waterfalls and animals.

There are gaggles of exciting activities to discover within it. Our children colour in unicorns, rabbits and butterflies and use the Dream Scanner, to see their creations running around the otherworldly oasis with us.

There’s a dreamy bed to sink into, a tunnel of flowers framing a table laid with giant pink cakes, and a space where the sky touches every corner, to play on a succession of swings.

Enchanted is a beautiful room of icy trees, moons and shooting stars, where our wristbands unlock doors to our dreams.

Reach the Stars is another big hit with the children, inviting them to use their bodies to play with stars on the floor and walls.

There’s a crucial disco stop, in the Sparkle More room, to throw some shapes among a canopy of glitter balls.

Wall of Dreams is a rather moving opportunity to add your dreams to a wall of handwritten hopes and aspirations.

We also enjoy bringing The Twits to life in the series of upside-down lounges, kitchens and bathrooms of Change Perspective.

The experience has welcomed 2 million visitors worldwide, and we hard recommend boarding the Dream Train to its London stint, this summer.

You snooze, you lose.
