The co-owner of The Trafalgar - King's Road's First New Public House in over 100 Years - Gives the Lowdown on where to Eat and Drink in London's Glitzy Postcode

Mark Reynolds is one third of the boozer juggernaut trio behind Three Cheers Pub Co, which has just opened The Trafalgar in Chelsea - their tenth and most notable pub to date.
This Grade II Listed former bank has started an ambitious new chapter, as the first new public house to be built on the iconic King’s Road in living memory.

Named after one of Britain’s most decisive victories, The Trafalgar is the result of a £2.4 million investment. Spread across two floors, the ground floor is a stunning British pub serving excellent food and drink. Downstairs has a breathtaking, antique mirrored ceiling and hidden bar, and is dedicated to live music, cabaret, comedy and parties, in keeping with King’s Road’s vibrant history.
Beautifully designed as a social hub away from the hustle and bustle of Chelsea life, guests are invited to pop in for a pint, stay for the best cheese and ham toastie, enjoy lunch or a three-course dinner and stay for the entertainment.

The timeless and elegant space boasts five-metre-high ceilings, large Georgian windows and ornate plasterwork alongside intimate booths, oversized chandeliers, leather dining chairs and vintage artwork, beautifully blending the old with the new.
And Mark has taken a moment away from his Chelsea pub revolution to bring us his guide to the best places to eat and drink in the area, from morning to night.
The Trafalgar, 224-226 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW3 5UA
COFFEE
THE ROASTING PARTY

The beans are roasted in Winchester close to where I live. There are queues out the door at the weekend, but the coffee definitely makes up for it.
The Roasting Party, 253 Pavilion Rd, London SW1X 0BP
BREAKFAST
VARDO CHELSEA

Vardo on the King's Road is a great spot for smashed avocado and poached egg, while watching the world go by.
Vardo Chelsea, 9 Duke Of York Square, London SW3 4LY
LUNCH
PHAT PHUC NOODLE BAR

I’ve been coming to Phat Phuc Noodle Bar since the early 2000’s. I recommend the Prawn Summer Rolls and the Chicken Laksa.
Phat Phuc Noodle Bar, The Courtyard, 151 Sydney St, London SW3 6NT
DINNER
THE SURPRISE

There are so many lovely places to eat in Chelsea, but for me I have always had a soft spot for The Surprise. Warm, cosy, local, and off the beaten track.
The Surprise, 6 Christchurch Terrace, London SW3 4AJ
DRINKS
AZTECA

Azteca makes the best Jalapeno Margaritas and Pisco Sours.
Azteca, 329 King's Rd, London SW3 5ES
